In memory of our beautiful Simone.
Simone was a beautiful healthy little girl. She was a surprise late addition to our family. She has two older brothers Robert and Daniel who are 14 and 10 years older. She was surrounded by family and friends who adored her. She was a happy little girl who loved life. She loved to dress up and thought she was a princess. She loved unicorns, rainbows, the moon ,stars and everything magical. She loved to dance and sing, she went to ballet. She loved school and was very bright. We run a pub and she was everyone's friend, she would interact with all, she treated the pub as if it was her playhouse. She had a great temper and would scare the most brave, all would run if she was upset. She was the centre of our world and we are so lost without her, but we feel very honoured to have been blessed with her. Her passing was sudden and totally unexpected. We are still in the process of tests for a precise diagnosis, but now know she had a problem in how she digested food. The problem happened in the couple of hours before she passed, it was that sudden. Nothing could have prepared us, she was a picture of health. We have set up a galixy tribute fund in Simone's name, to help fund research into fatty oxidation disorders, (Fods)
She was only here for a devastatingly short time, but she certainly left her mark. Everyone who met her was touched by her wonder, it has been very hard on everyone to lose someone so special, she enriched our lives .I feel honered to have been her mother.
A butterfly alights beside us like a sunbeam, for a brief moment it's glory and beauty belong to our world. Then it flies on again. Although we wish it could have stayed, we are so thankful to have seen it at all.
